Clue help and progress on solving the Isis

I feel so dumb

Postby Cut » Mon Apr 07, 2008 9:27 pm

I guess I'm the new kid on the block here. Hello to everyone.

Got the Isis 2 days ago and finished the decryptions last night. I understand the clues, but I don't know how to even go about what they're telling me to do. When I first got the Isis, I just thought it was some kind of combination lock, and the clues would tell me which symbols to line up so I could open it. Apparently, I'm way off.

I have the 11th clue, but I think that's just confusing things. You all talk about how the 11th clue could potentially damage the Isis and creating your own universe, but I have no idea how any of that could assist me.

I've translated the words on the box, and they mention a [EDIT] and [EDIT]? Some other people here talked about using a compass to test the Isis, [EDIT: Please don't provide tooo much information about what you have found out about the ISIS and the box translations, thank you :)] Once again, don't know how this could help me.

I decrypted all of AlienDjinn's clues, and I have the number (I'll PM you shortly to verify), but it all seems as useless to me as the 11th clue.

I need some kind of nudge in the right direction. I think all these extra things have clouded my mind too much and I've lost the right path. Are there any other hints that I'm missing? I've been through almost every thread in this section, but I'm still so lost.

P.S.: I'm jealous of all of you that live in the UK, because you have much more access to the hidden pyramids than I do = [

Hi, mate. Good luck with your Isis.
AlienDjinn's riddle is something completely different to the Isis. But well done for solving it.

The clues and the box tell you everything you need to do. The best thing to do is sit and think what might be stopping you from opening it, and then work out how to.

The eleventh clue was released to help people start their adventure - you've just got to work out what it means

Good luck

Oh, and don't worry too much about damaging it. It's the things around it that are more likely to get damaged

Hey Cut, welcome to the forum :)
As ChadH said, it may be worth your while putting the Isis down for a few minutes and having a good think about the clues.
Some of the things you've mentioned are relevant to the solution, I think your also possibly under-estimating what you know

The key thing is that all you really need are the clues and the box glyphs :)

Good luck dude!

Chris :)

In the beginning stages, it is all a matter of turning the rings to the right symbols? And are they supposed to line up with the still placentas? I've been using them like the little arrow on a combination lock that you line the numbers up with...Am I supposed to do something else? A simple yes or no will do.

Sorry dude but that's not the kinda question your gona get an answer to :?
Read the clues, all the information is in there... I believe the first clue actually tells you how to begin, rings are not mentioned until later

Okay, thanks anyways. I'm not looking for answers, as I want to feel the thrill of accomplishment when I open this, without any marks on the record so to speak. I just feel so dumb right now lol, which is especially frustrating considering I'm a lot smarter than the average person.

Don't feel dumb, apparently only 5% of the people to pick up an Isis can open them,
You don't have to be smarter than the average person to open them, in fact there are a few idiots that have opened then, it is easy when you know how.
Your smartness will be tested after you have opened it.

From 'having no idea' to 'got it open' in just over 6 hours, well done Cut!

Would you mind editing some keywords out of your first post in this thread please?
I believe the section starting with "I've translated" is a big spoiler to others that are still on their way to discover these clues.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
