Crazy stuff I have tried

Ok, ok I just found out about this forum, and I am grateful I am not the only frustrated Isis puzzler.

I decoded the clues Christmas morning and have gotten nowhere since.

But, to save other newbies time, here is some of the stuff I have tried without much success

I have sprayed it with WD-40 to loosen it up (seemed to work ok)
I have attached magnets to it (No help at all)
I have centrifuged it (Actually I spun it really fast which was No help)

My 10 year old suggests a temperature change, so tonight it is going in the freezer. Wish me luck!

BTW, I know...The answer is in the clues. At least I have my Red Sox and Patriots.

I think WD-40 was a bad idea. What I've heard is that you're supposed to use 3 in 1 oil to lubricate it, not a penetrating oil like WD-40. Don't bother freezing it, it doesn't need a temperature change. You should also search the forums for the 11th clue. :D

Hi Peapod Hobbit,

You don't need anything else to open the ISIS, just yourself and the 11 clues :) Be careful with it, it is quite tough, but not that tough!

Best of luck :)

Hi Peapod Hobbit!
check the forum....-there is a LOT of help there already....also the 11'th clue is worth finding, and it won't be hard finding it..

Best of luck

I don't know if I can willingly help a New England sports fan.... they already have so much already!!! But since I'm a nice guy I'll just say, you already have enough info to open the Isis the moment you receive it.

Yes no drastic temp changes necessary besides what would you have done next baked it, microwave, flamethrower? All very bad for such a mechanical marvel. Just use your hands and brain.
