Just a few simple questions

Got my Isis as an X-mas gift from Sharper Image. Love the look - the grey and silver metal. Really sharp.

Here are a few questions I have. Not looking for answers more clarification than anything else.

1) I keep seeing the word "Placenta". What exactly is this a reference too (assuming it doesn't give anything away)? Is it the two symbols that look like the Isis on the non-rotating rings?

2) I know about the 11th clue and what needs to be done to release the third ball bearing. My question is the other ball bearings. I can distinctly hear one floating around from the day I opened the box. It almost sounds like there are two balls in there but I'm not sure. Do you need to release the second ball bearing or is it already out? I'm a little unsure of this.

3) Do the hieroglyphics and the rotating rings themselves play into the soultion to the puzzle? I've read some posts here and I haven't seen any mention that those needs to be translated in any fashion. Again, don't want an answer just a hint if I need to start considering the rings as important or not.

Looking forward to solving this. Spent last night solving the 10 clues in the booklet. Now it's on to playing with the Isis itself.

sorry to send acusations flying.... but you dont appear to remotely understand the decrypted clues... have you REALLY solved them? or just read them off another website....

regarding the placentas....I'll point you in the right direction... it is obvious to most that the symbols on the isis are hieroglyphs, try doing a little reserch into this and then you will be able to translate all the symbols on the Isis and the box then you will not need clue 11

I actually solved the 10 clues last night without assistance from websites or purchasing the clues. Doesn't mean I've fully dug into them yet considering it's only been 16 hours since I did that and half of that time I was sleeping. I'm not even 24 hours into playing with this. It's been sitting on my desk since X-mas and I finally bit the bullet last night and started in on it.

I just wandered over the forums here to see if there was anything of interest which is where I found out about the 11th clue and I kept seeing "placenta" showing up. Like I said, if describing what the definition of placenta is, then I don't want to know it since it's part of the adventure in getting Isis open. I was curious if it meant something specific to the device without it giving anything away. Same with my other questions. I don't want answers but I wasn't sure if what I was asking was going to give much away. They were questions I had after reading some of the posts here on the site.

My next step was to do some hieroglyphics research to find out what each symbol meant. Looking at your post it seems to me that this is important and is a path that I will follow to gather as much data as possible in solving Isis.

i just see so many posts along the lines of,"i have a new puzzle...soomeone tell me how to get in"

some people are in too much of a rush to open the isis... enjoy the moment now ..... before the riddles and searching out leads takes over your life....and you end up sitting up too near 7am trying to pin down a bloody shop in yorkshire......escape while you still can....

Well. After reading between the lines of the clues and lots, and lots of plunger pressing, my Isis is finally open. My thumb is about to fall off and for a bit there, I had the placenta's 180 degrees from each other and wasn't progressing any further but more thumb mashing the plunger and ta-da. It's open.

Now to register the number, take a picture, and move on to the next stage.
