Clue help and progress on solving the Isis

My Isis may be a dud...

Postby kavin2468 » Wed Oct 31, 2007 3:39 am

I will try to tell my problems without giving away any spoilers.

I followed steps 1-5 and tried to get the 3rd ball bearing out. I followed the 11th clue as HARD!!!! as possible for hours and was still not able to tell if I got the ball bearing out. I was told to use my mind not my strength so I thought I may have gotten it out without knowing it...

Here is my first problem-I forgot what the Isis sounded like before I executed the 11th step so I don't know if I released the ball bearing yet...for the sake of knowing whether or not my ball is a dud-can someone please PM me and tell me a definitive way to tell whether or not my ball bearing is out and the way to reset it so maybe I can try to start from scratch. If possible, I would also like to know if I am doing my steps right (just a yes or no). I will send a list of my steps in a reply.

-------------------------------------------------------
Now the second...
Going with the idea that I DID get the ball bearing out, I tried following step 6. I did it for HOURS to no avail-so I thought I was doing something wrong. I held it contrary to what step 1 said because of the end of step 5..."GJYM JFPSCK CIXM..." I have also dropped mine HARD quite a few times to the point where one of the rings broke off by accident so I might have broken the button mechanism. My button is unusually hard to press.

Here is my next problem: How long of executing step 6 should it take for me to notice a change? If I broke my button mechanism (or my ball bearing ... mechanism... for that matter) I would like to not waste my time trying to solve it and get it fixed/replaced. Once again-please reply in a PM as to not ruin it for others.

I used to think mine was a dud too - until I opened it!!
It's highly unlikely that you've caused any damage to the mechanism from banging it.

Keep going, you will get there!

Repair Service

IF you really think you have a DUD, which is unlikely, send it back to us at SW for repair. Cost from US - inc p&p will be about $60 though, but if it is a DUD, there will be no cost.

Thank's puzz! $60 does seem a bit pricey just to go on a whim so I will see if I can solve it first. =)
