Hi Guys,

Just become a memeber but have some of the Isis puzzles for a long time and only still stuck on the G2. Next in line is the Copernisis Extreme which I won't touch untill I solved this G2!! Only this is taking months,....The only thing I noticed from the beginning is the top layer (including the placenta) moves very heavy and it is even hard to move the top two layers including the placenta to move together.
Moving the second layer alone; easy
Moving the third (last layer) alone; easy

Hope you can help-out. I got the G2 and working on it for a long time. I thought about a lot of combination on how to twist and turn the layers. Unfortunately not any sound,..... while I read everywhere the BB should be heard. Only on one site it says only in the middle of the game you can hear the BB.
So what to do to get my BB loose or is it just still stuck in the beginning, because I've never heard it???
Also I got a hint to put a toothpick inside the hole of the key-chamber. This works well as you don't get distracted with the rattling of the key.

So what I did:

Turned the layers in different positions and at every position hold the Ramisis in different position. I truly think I got all kinds of positions and ready to throw the thing out of the window,...... Grrrrrrrrrr.

Thx in advance!

The BB in the Ramisis is very small and quite.

I can only hear mine moving by putting the base of the puzzle against my ear and tipping my head from left to right - you need to be in a very quite room too.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thank you for your time and reaction!
I think I read this good advice from you also in another topic. Nevertheless I do try it at night when there is no sound and hold it against my ear. Did you encountered the same in regards of the top layers moving very heavy??

Can somebody tell me if the solving mechanics/lay-out of the G2 is same as the first edition.

No the Ramisis doesn't start the same as the Isis.

The Ramisis G2 internal design is similar to, but not the same as the original.

I'm told that the original was too difficult to solve (less than 1% of buyers), so it was simplified a little for G2.

The top two layers are fixed together (the point and the next layer down), and they should lock with the GII mark on the same side as the key chamber, when rotated clockwise, when the BB is in the start position - it will rotate either way once the BB has left the start position.

Hope this helps.

This does help, really think the BB is stuck so I'll send it back to Andrew. Thank you for your help and patience as soon as I have it back I'll post it. :)

All,

I've noticed that there is a lot of discussion about hearing the BB. I too had a problem hearing the very slight sound the BB makes. Most of the time I couldn't hear anything at all. I also found myself twisting my head around with a metal pyramid stuck to my ear. My wife looked at me kinda weird. So, I came up with a quick and easy solution. It does cost about $30 for the parts but you will be able to use it on all of the ISIS puzzles. It won't give you any answers, but it will greatly enhance your ability hear inside the pyramid!

Happy to share my setup if interested.

BTW, I still haven't solved it so I've run out of excuses. :?
