The Isis Adventure

Ok, so I've been messing with my Ramisis for 3 days straight now, I've gone up and down 4 times, and I'm sure I've passed through the rings of hell twice. I've been inside of the elevator twice, but have yet to experience the "locking". Am I just missing something at the end, or am I somehow going back and forth through the same path?
