Alright so after reading.....

Postby chefryanhoward » Mon Nov 08, 2010 10:29 pm

I really wanna clarify a few things about the ramisis before I endulge my next paycheck towards it. I do have a current way right now, today, to get a brand new one. I wont have to wait to get the new ones in spring of 2011. Now assuming this one i am getting is the current one....

1.) Does it still have a light in it? What color is it gonna be would you say? I've heard blue and red.
2.) is it just as difficult as it was when it first came out? i was reading about how getting the key is only half of the puzzle? if this is true what is the second half of the puzzle?
3.) What does it take to get into the ramisis 5%?
4.) this isnt going to be easy or anything right? I'm hoping that this puzzle is harder then the isis, but not TOO hard that i give up completley?
5.) Is it still electronic? I may have read its not anymore?
6.) what is the Extra Challenge? or is that not to be disclosed until opening?
I'm sure i will have more questions as I read more!

Hello. Sorry about delays. People tend not to go online that often anymore. Questions sometimes go unanswered.
Anyway, I will try to answer these with the best of my knowledge.

1) I do not believe that the Ramisis uses lights anymore. There were problems with the circuitry and while it's a novel idea, I don't think it is practical or worthwhile. A nice perplexing chunk of metal will last longer than circuitry anyway.
2) As far as I'm aware, the puzzle has not changed. It is just as difficult. However, there are two parts to this particular puzzle. First, get the key and keychamber out. Second, get the entire puzzle to be dismantled and separate the layers. They are two distinct challenges and the second step is not required to continue on to other puzzles.
3) To get into the 5% club, you need to send in a pic of the removed keychamber. To then get into the "extra challenge" section (which is not at all necessary), you send in a pic of the dismantled Ramisis.
4) While I cannot say if it is harder or easier, it is certainly on the same scale of difficulty as the Isis. It is tough and super fun!
5) As in part 1), I don't believe they use the "electronics" anymore. Besides, they were never necessary.
6) See part 3), the dismantling of the puzzle.

I hope that answers your questions and helped you decide, and if you have anymore, just write back or PM me.
