Just got RAMISIS
as soon as I started to play I found that the top two layers are extreamly stiff, to the point where it hurts to tru to turn them. Is this normal or a duff one? please advise. It also squeeks as well.

Hi

Do any of the admins on this site read the posts on this forum?

I realy need to know if I have to send the RAMISIS back to the suplier or direct to sonicwarp.
at the moment I have a fantastic pyrmid sitting on the fire place doing nothing. I am desperate to start work on it but I cant.

Please please advise.

Normally yes (eventually), but PUZZ hasn't been online since before you joined the forum, so in this case, no.

jasoliver wrote:...Please please advise...

Have you PMed PUZZ? If no, PM him >here<.
If yes, then have you e-mailed SW? If no, email them >> info@sonicwarp.com or maybe even andrew@sonicwarp.com.
If yes, then have you checked your spam folder? If no, check your spam folder.
If yes, email them again.

Although Ade (anash27) did once work for SW, these days he is "only" admin on the forum. He's the person to talk to about something forum related like access to the various 5% clubs, but I think you'll find he doesn't have a whole lot more contact with SW than any of the rest of us.
With the sort of problems your experiencing, Puzz is the best guy to contact

The red lights... in theory, yes, you should see a red light, however, its an unfortunate fact that it would appear that the vast majority of Ramisis' have electronics with a flat battery. So if you don't have a red light on yours then I wouldn't worry too much as the puzzle can still be solved without any of the lights.

As for the sounds that your Ramisis is making... dunno. Yeh, you should be able to hear the BB inside but Im not sure I'd describe it as making a "klunking" sound. I wouldn't like to give a 100% confident answer as to whether I think it's broken or not without actually seeing/ hearing it for myself. That said, there's not a whole lot to go wrong in the Ramisis... is there much movement up/down on any of the layers that could be causing the "klunking" sound?

Thanks again for your help Bluesign2k.

there is no movement between the layers. the klunking sound happens when you hold Ramis upright with the light facing you and gently shake forwards and backwards. You can also hear the bearing which is a totaly diferant sound.

Any help very welcome as I dont seam to be getting very far with the Ramisis at the mo.

thanks again

Yeh, as cornett said, that klunking sound is most likely to be the key. Try sticking a cocktail stick in the key chambe hole and then see if it still makes the same noise

Only smarties have the answer  Oh, and the clues in the booklet, they also have the answer
