The Isis Adventure

Hello hello,

I purchased the Ramisis a while back so my Girlfriend could give it to me as a Christmas present... Think I got conned but anyway.....

So come Christmas day I open the Ramisis and decipher the clues, read up on the forum although only skimming, and set to work trying to complete it.Now the first problem, as I'm sure ya'll can guess, is that I have no lights. No biggie, it seems to have happened to most, and I'll be looking to get that fixed as and when I get the thing open.

Problem number two, and what I come to you wonderful people for help with, is that on picking the Ramisis up for the first time, and I could already hear some clue number 3's, and have since worked out I started with them in the ROH. Thus I don't believe I was able to do clue number 1, and have no idea where I actually am in terms of am I at the start, should my key chamber have popped out already or what?

I've had a lot on my plate the last few weeks so haven't really had any major time to work on the puzzle, but fingers crossed life should be quieting down soon and I can spend more time puzzling.

Any guidance would be great, and well done to those who have managed to open the infernal thing, I hope to do so some day too.

On the Ramisis forum(sorry just joking) You are now the proud owner of ISIS II, the key chamber will only come out when you release it, you need a quite place and plenty of coffee and time. If you reread the clues you will understand what is needed to be done. Think of the "grand old duke of york"

Yes I understand the clues, the problem is I didn't get to do clue 1, if I didn't do clue one I don't know whether I can achieve the rest of the clues.

I've seen comments from people saying they haven't even reached the ROH, yet I started there. I'm assuming there isn't but is there a way to get myself back to the very beginning, so I can do clue 1 and take it from there?

Ok lets start at the start. Sadly most of the puzzles lights failed at the start but you do not need to worry at all. As opening the puzzle does not depend on them. Now if you have made a certain move which it sounds like you have you are actually on your way. Don't worry about the ROH unless you are further on with the puzzle which from your post you are not.(please if I have given too much away I,m sorry and will edit) So just sit back and enjoy the journey's long and hard only 21 puzzlers so far at the point of enlightenment

I'll just work on the general characteristics of life then and see if anything pops out. Can anybody else around here confirm that STARTING in the ROH isn't a problem and I can just get on with the rest of the clues as normal?

PS. I can get out of the ROH reasonably easily, and then back in of course
