Changes to Ramisis Instruction Booklet

Announcement.
Please note that, as from the 27th January 2009 you will no longer be required to enter the Ramisis Verification Code (RVC), in order to access the online game. You are no longer required to dismantle the Ramisis puzzle after completion.

We have automatically updated the accounts of those that have unlocked the Ramisis and entered the key code on our website.

Sonicwarp has also taken the decision to discontinue the Ramisis Time Zone and any competition related to it. We would hope to offer a similar competition in future products.

Regards,

Admin

Is this saying that as soon as the key chamber is released for the first time that the puzzle is now complete and the key alone is enough to gain access to the game and 5% club?
If it is then I'm amazed since doing this is infinitely easier than solving an Isis!

... And VERY annoying, as I got to that stage, but now have closed it again :(

Opening the Ramisis key chamber is easier that the ISIS  :?: It took me 6 days to solve my ISIS, I've had my Ramisis since November and I still haven't managed to open the key chamber!

I hope SW haven't removed the instructions to dismantle the puzzle further though, I'd like to completely dismantle it as you were initially supposed to... although that is assuming that I actually manage to open the key chamber!

Yeh, the nearest comparison that I can make is that the first stage is much like trying to decipher the 5 clues... if your struggling then your probably thinking too hard about what your supposed to be doing
When was the last time you read the clues? Honestly? Whatever you answer, read them again! They tell you exactly what needs to be done!

Although I haven't actually timed myself I reckon I can get from start to halfway point in around a minute or two... the second (fun(!)) stage is infinitely more complex...

If one has the key out but not opened the Ramisis a second time is it possible then to get in the 5% club to discuss the online game?

haha now you are telling me what I tell everyone about their ISIS lol... "it's all in the clues" .. now I know how it feels   I'm sure I know what I'm supposed to be doing, but I just can't hear what layer I'm in! I somehow managed to get the Ramisis top section to lock last night, so I assumed I'd made it back to the beginning again, it's not locking anymore now though, so I don't know where I am! But it's fun :D

Hmm, I guess this is where it get difficult :?
Does the "Game" topic move out of the 5% club or are those who haven't fully opened their puzzle allowed access to the 5% club (in which case it'll soon be the 95% club) but will ruin the 2nd part of the puzzle due to then information available???
It's a tough one! :?

i say leave the online game discussion in the 5% club. also, i think one should be required to disassemble the Ramisis completely in order to join the club. this way completing the puzzle the way andrew intended is still desirable. it comes down to, if you want in the 5% club and if you want help with the online game, finish the darn puzzle. otherwise andrew has been sympathetic to us as it is and given us a easy way in to start the online game, and if you cant finish the puzzle, well then you can figure out the online game on your own.

My thought upon reading this is that we no longer will have to completely take everything apart to get to the damaged electronics. At one time I think it was said that we would be able to send in our non-working electronics for repair so that we could see the RVC. To do this it would require us to take things apart further then what is necessary to completely solve the puzzle (I hope this little bit of information isn't a spoiler). I do hope that everyone still has to completely solve the puzzle by removing the key at the half way point and continuing on to the final stage (the trickiest part). It would drastically lessen the value of this puzzle if you didn’t have to do that last part of the solution and I would be really disappointed in SW if this is the case. After all, these are supposed to be “the hardest puzzles in the world!”
