Ramisis Theories

I was just thinking that the "Theories and Ideas" forum is grosely underused and it would be the perfect place for those who haven't recieved a Ramisis to post unbiased "Theories" about how it might work.
Since the topic was my idea, let me start:
I think that there may be small tunnels going vertically thourgh the layers of the Ramisis. Through turning the layers, someone can line up the tunnels and move something such as a ball berrring through them. This was something I was originally visuallizing inside the isis.

PS. Also, please remember not to post anything about the workings of the isis.

Well, that's what I though to - doesn't seem to work that way though, at least not for me

i am super interested in the whole "codes" thing...

The code thing seems fasinating. I hope it isn't more simple than they make it sound though. I'll also be interested to find out what was meant by clue 2. Possibly morris code or a lazer projection, but neither really seems to make sense without seeing the puzzle.

Does that mean we might have to decode the bells on the boots of the morris dancers as they do their gig!

i am guessing #2 will be the key..morse code is probably a healthy guess actually
#2=translation of code to use as key for future codes?

I used to be able to send and receive morse at 20 words per minute when I was in the RAF. Not sure I could now!!!

A while back in the "ISIS 2 Meet - Confirmed" thread I suggested that SW could maybe put a time delay lock on the boxes for the future Isis puzzles, so that we would all be able to start at the same time. This was only a light hearted attempt to solve the problem of the "I opened my Ramisis" posts, followed by the “mine hasn't arrived yet" posts.
It appears that SW has addressed this problem from a different angle, because one of the codes that we need to register our Ramisis is not actually engraved on the puzzle, it is displayed from within the puzzle somehow but it does contain a timer. It doesn't matter who receives theirs first, it doesn’t matter if you buy your Ramisis in a year’s time, I think that this virtual code indicates the time that it has taken to solve the puzzle, therefore it is not who open it first, it is who opens it fastest.
This is a fairer solution to the problem, so the Ramisis is not a three dimensional puzzle it is a four dimensional puzzle.

Oooh, following a further discovery today, I REALLY can't wait to get this thing open and see what's inside! Just playing around with it earlier and I thought I might try some of the wiles I'd tried with my Isis on it to see what was inside. And no, I don't mean X-rays.

Actually, come to think of it, it's come to be a standard thing I look for in Sonicwarp products. ;)

I am pretty sure I know what you are talking about but I don't know if it is good idea to try it out on the Ramsis. The Isis I didn't have any electronic in it to mess anything up but testing the Ramisis in the same way might affect the electronics.. maybe? But then again some of the Ramisis will be going through customs and will be going through the x-ray machines, so it shouldn't be a problem.

 I'm not going to X-Ray it!!

No, what i'm doing shouldn't damage any electronics, not the method I'm using anyway.

I have been thinking before, the Ramisi5 may be like the Isis 1A.

Though, the booklet does warn against using the "Rusty" method...
