haha, oh my. I love it when I leave for over half a year to come back and find things with Puzz and the Isis adventure as a whole are exactly the same as they were when I was complaining back then. I was hoping things would have improved to an acceptable level to where I might consider purchasing the next Isis, but it looks like I shouldn't bother yet.

ChadH wrote:-It's just another delay - we've had delays before, and no doubt we'll have delays again - it's a fact of life. (For people who commute, do you get this worked up when your train is late every day  )

Delays should be expected in every Isis puzzle now.

ChadH wrote:-Sonic Warp will have learned a great deal from this. This should make 3, 4 and 5 releases much smoother. It would have been so much worse if this had happened later on down the series.

Everyone was saying this about the numerous problems presented during the Isis 1. They should have had the process smooth by this one; but now we see them making the same sorts of mistakes as before.

themagicdude wrote:I'm no less frustrated now, but putting myself in Puzz's position, I wouldn't know what to do when I had an angry mob demanding a puzzle that isn't working yet. The logical thing to do would be to explain yourself and promise to fix things, but he can't explain too much without compromising the puzzle, and by now, I'm sure puzz is a little scared of making promises; they do tend to get him in trouble.

They get him in trouble because he can't follow up on them. I'm still waiting for the posting on the main Isis page explaining the contest rules/way to win/way the puzzle even works that he promised to put up back at the beginning of this year (or earlier, I'm too lazy to check).

themagicdude wrote:There was no use in being negative. Hopefully this post better explains what I and many other patient customers are expecting. I really hope that Sonicwarp will come through and exceed all of our expectations.

Get used to lowering your expectations if you stick around for a while. :|

thats one side...then there is me....i have had problems as well with pyrahunters...but everytime i have an issue ,with a little patience i have always been satisfied...most of the time SW will even do a little extra to make you feel better...i have voiced the opinion that the adventure ballooned up way above original expectations and that SW is struggling to grow as fast as the adventure....it is a TOY, and the adventure is a TIMEWASTER...it has the importance of any other free time hobby...but not more....
my ramisis worked exactly as it was supposed to and all my isis1's work perfectly no problems....riddles have been solved...gold coins have been found.

there has been an all out verbal assault waged against SW...we are approaching the point where PUZZ could take the money and run.
its good to see you again Bluess..it is unfortunate that you are upset.
I encourage you to purchase a Ramisis...

Sonicwarp Update

Postby PUZZ » Sat Nov 01, 2008 8:25 pm

Hi Folks,

Update.

Firstly, Ramisis is in full production, I would love to show you a picture of the production line, but it would give too much away.

I agree with some comments that things dont always flow smoothly, but I can tell those that criticise SW efforts, that its far from easy to invent, design, manufacture, and distribute puzzles of this standard without some issues. Huge games companies have significantly more resources than we do, and yet they still only provide plastic rubbish, or board games made from cardboard and plastic pieces with little ingenuity and thought provoking game play.

The Isis adventure provides something that I was looking for myself for years, an adventure with "REAL" rewards, not holiday vouchers etc.. achieved from solving high quality puzzles, but also an adventure that takes you places that you would never have dreamed you would have gone to. Free searches taking you up mountains, onto skyscapers, up the Statue of Liberty, or up the empire state, or onto Dartmoor and into trees, and all this for free !

The puzzles we make are designed to be high quality, thought provoking and intriguing. The Isis is a great puzzle to start with, the Ramisis is a difficult puzzle to engineer and produce and we have tried to introduce some electronics to take it to another level, ok this has been tricky but we are getting there, but it is a remarkable puzzle. Isis III is already in the prototype stage, and will be available late next year early 2010.

In addition to the Isis adventure series puzzles, we have introduced many new items including merchandise and more new puzzles to hit the market in 2009, that are high quality and quite addictive. We are working on the game play for these new puzzles as we speak.

Hope this is useful info for you all, and I look forward to seeing you all at Hamleys next week on Friday. I will have one of my new puzzle with me, and I will be offering a Ramisis as a reward to the first person who solves it in the fastest time on the day, assuming anyone can solve it that is !

Puzz

Will it be locked this time?
If it was the one I think it is, the unlocked version took a while to work out. The locked version will be interesting.
