Ahhhh, yes thanks for that, Ade. I've just started asuming that EVERYTHING relates to ISIS II if PUZZ said it and it has anything to do with a pyramid or triangle, or really anything else too for that matter...

Are you allowed to tell us about what this A&D puzzle was going to be like?

A&D's probably my favorite book ever. It would've been so cool to have a sonicwarp puzzle for it. Please tell us what it was going to be like.

Just got an e-mail from SW today, after requesting the harder version. Apparently, they may not be inscribed with "Ramisi5"???

email wrote:We have you down for the hard version of Ramisis already, but I don't know if they will be inscribed any differently from the standard version.

A week tomorrow, and the launch will be here!

although it shouldn't make things tougher if they aren't engraved with ramisi5 it would be nice to know that my days and weeks of not opening the thing are because it was in fact a harder version :D

I hope that there will be some external method of determing which version you have.

That's pretty lame if it's not engraved. What's the point in getting a special/limited edition if there's absolutely nothing to identify it as different :?:

Exactly; there'd be no way to really know which one it is, unless you had both and opened both up to compare the difference.

I don't see the problem with it not being engraved you will know which one you have ordered.

Yeah, but....
If you purchased an Eagle Isis, you'd be pretty miffed if the eagle wasn't engraved in it.
I thought I was purchasing a Ramisi5 (engraved to prove it), but now it sounds like a Ramisis that has been modified. And since we have no idea what that modification is, it doesn't mean a great deal. In fact, based on how Puzz was talking about the modification a while back, he almost gave me the impression that it was a modification that could easily be added or removed to any Ramisis - almost like a difficulty switch.

I could easily convert my Isis 1 to behave like a 1A using information from the 5% club, but it wouldn't make it a 1A.
I feel the same about the Ramisi?

Actually I'm not quite sure which one I ordered. I ordered one back when they said that everyone in the 5% club who pre-ordered one would automatically get the harder version and that if you wanted the standard one you would have to specifically ask for it. Now they have changed it all around. There is still time for them to change it again, who knows what they will really do?

And what about people like me who actually want one of each. My plan was to just sit back and wait to get whichever one they ship to me and then order the other one. I would just go ahead and order two of them, but I want to avoid the possible confusion that could happen by doing so at this time considering how the rules have already been swapped around. I wouldn't want to end up with two of the same. Also, I may change my mind about owning both after people start receiving them based on what everyone's (and my own) reaction is to them. This is a pricy puzzle and I may decide that it is not worth owning both, but I doubt that will happen.

Since I probably will own both of them, it would be really nice to have some way to identify which is which. Even if it is just an indication stamped to the bottom of it (like the "1C" on the bottom of my Isis 1C) or a different color. Perhaps a different shape stamped into what appears to be a plunger button on the lower left of the front of the puzzle.

the post where puzz talked about it hinted at the fact that the ramisi5 had a lil something extra about it in the adventure as well, reread his posts.
which puzzle you have ordered is as easy as a email to SW...pre release jitters?..

The latest update is that if you want the harder one, then you have to email info@sonicwarp.com and tell them.
So, if you haven't done that, then you'll get the standard one.

Additionally, on the subject of the engraving, it sounds like they won't be engraved because they didn't have time to get it done. This will probably mean that release day Ramisi5 won't be engraved whereas if you order one a couple of weeks down the line then it will be.

That said, there was nothing in my email from Caroline saying that mine wouldn't be engraved, but then I didn't actually ask whether it would be.
