I think I have a faulty puzzle

Postby raterfly » Sat Dec 27, 2008 4:22 am

Hi,

My sister bought me the Ramisis in Oct to give to me for a christmas present. When I received it there were no red lights - but reading on the forum this should not worry me... so hasn't.

However, I played for literally a minute when I first opened it and the key chamber popped out. I have removed the key and replaced the chamber but now the key chamber pops out anytime I turn the top anti-clockwise. I have read that the first batch were faulty, and I think mine was bought quite early on.. is my Ramisis faulty?

Hi Claire,

Unfortunately it doesn't sound normal. Send a PM to Puzz, he'll tell you what to do with it. I think SW are on holiday now until January, so you may have to wait until then for a response.

Sorry it's not better news, but SW will sort it for you :)

Karen

it is kind of cute actually ,like watching puppies play!! :D :D

if your able to break these things your amazingly strong!..
you sometimes have to "fiddle" with these mechanisms to get them to function at 100%
if the chamber isnt in the correct spot it wont relock....early puzzles had a "popping" issue
if you have the key out then you have seen the additional instructions...i had to compress to get the chamber to relock...or so i thought....tinkering is a must though....
avoid stressing the layers to spread or to the side..this may cause problems in the part that allows the layers to spin..
the part that holds the key chamber in can be a little dodgy :D
hope this helps..hope Karen doesnt feel its too revealing

this is a good natured post....you can pm me for help with your specific problems...no spoilers but gentle directing.
your in the best part of the whole thing!! enjoy the anguish :D :D :D
