I popped along today for an hour or so in between jobs to show my face again.
It was a good day, and Andrew was on top form. I'm afraid I didn't take any photos though.
The stand had several Isis 1's (Eagle, Tut, and one other non standard colours), a Ramisis, a Gyre (that's very cool by the way), and a small digital combination safe!!
To win the Ramisis, you were given a locked NKubit, and within 60 seconds had to:
-Unlock and open the NKubit
-Retrieve the coin from inside (I think it was a pound coin)
-Get the number from the coin
-Enter the number into the safe
I did open the NKubit at one point, but I don't think it was within 60 seconds, and also I've seen it before (as well as the locking mechanism), so had a bit of an unfair advantage.
Andrew demonstrated the Gyre a few times, and at one point disappeared for a little while and came back with a Rubik's cube. We had a go at trying to solve it the quickest - Andrew did a fairly healthy 2 minute (ish) solve, not sure what the time was on mine, but it was probably the longest I've ever taken (I felt under pressure
).
It was a fun hour or so, and then I had to go off to another job
Definitely worth the visit though, and I'm glad I went.
