well...mine made it almost a year until it decided to up and stop working
it seems microsoft has gotten a firm grasp on customer service though..they emailed me a shipping tag for the box and will repair it and reship it back for free....what?...yup free...and i am getting a trial gold membership...ooooooohhhhhhh....
i am very glad as it is actually my sons (so i tell him )
he was very distraught to say the least

Mine died a week ago from this past Saturday. My "coffin" box arived on Wednesday and I shipped it out on Thursday. When went to the UPS Store to drop it off, the girl at the counter giggled and told me to just put it on top of the one already sitting there. I guess a lot of these are going back for repair these days.

mines still kicking playing fallout 3, mirrors edge and just bought "left 4 dead" but havent opened it yet im too mixed up in fallout 3 to play any other games

how does any one have spare time outside of this forum and playin with a pyramid to be doing other things?? i think i need help

am i supposed to wait for their box to get here?...i was going to ship it to them today in a box i got myself and packing peanuts...

When I filled out the form on their support web site (I didn't bother trying to call their customer support line in India) there were three options. One of which was to print a lable and use your own box (this would be the fastest because you don't have to wait for them to ship you anything), one was to let them ship you a label but you still use your own box, and the third was for them to send you a box. Because I wasn't in a hurry, I had them send me a box (which took about 4 days). I just checked the status of mine and they received it yesterday and right now it is listed as "repair in progress".

oh cool yeah i printed the label ..i am going to take it over to the ups store today...im not waiting to see if they send one..i did call and had to do tests on the machine with the guy on the phone....anyway...thanks stet...hopefully i get more than a year out of the next one.....think they fix our old ones or just toss em in a pile all Star Wars style?.....

In order to save time and considering that they are getting so many of them I think what they are doing is verifying that yours is busted and then just turning around and sending you another refurbished one. Your old one then gets sent to another department where the main board is stripped out of it and replaced and then the now working unit gets put into the bin to be sent out to the next person who needs one.

At least that's how I would do it.

I sure hope mine doesnt break considering I won it out of a vending machine for $2.00 usd lol then again i neever did read all the booklets and info that came with it.

Yah I suppose I got lucky to be win that game but I also have coordination in that game to make it to the top, but the machine is rigged at the last block to go off kinda like the slot machine, where after a certain ammount of plays it will payout, so luckily for me I was there when it decided to pay out for once.Here is a link of the game cept the girl won a nintendo Wii where I on the other hand won an Xbox 360
