solving the puzzle

I received my Isis as a Christmas gift. It was the only thing that I had asked for and was looking forward to the challenge of solving some sort of criptic clues that would make me think. However, I have become a little disallusioned, as I have seen other forums that give the impression that thought is not required to solve this puzzle. I don't want to say too much in case I spoil anything, but can someone please reassure me that I am not wasting my time trying to do this puzzle in a logical way?

Without the clues I don't think anyone could open this thing.

I have worked out the 10 clues with no problem. Presently at the stage of trying to get to next stage, but not getting very far! I suppose what I am asking is, is it possible to open the Isis using brain power, and not the 11th clue way?

The isis is what it is, a mechanical puzzle that takes logic to solve the clues which guide you on how to open it. Everything is given to you, you just need to persevere and follow every part of every clue.
Keep going, you'll get there.

all i can say about clue 11 is that once you open the isis, you will descover that the isis is imposible to open without clue 11...

i found the actual opening of the isis less stimulating than the clues, but the fun of solving the location and password clue requires lots of brain power....

i am off to claim my coin as soon as i can get away from work...

I was like you a couple days ago, Frustrated, Irritated. But the only way to solve it is to accept the clues, don't out think yourself, and apply them to the puzzle. Good Luck

just to agree, dont try to over think the clues...

if it looks like a duck, has feathers, walks with a waddle and quacks, then maybe it is a duck !!!!

One thing is for sure - it's not a Rubix Cube. It is far easier to solve than that. So if you are expecting solving it like a Rubix Cube, then you need to totally change your thinking on how to do it.

Clue #11

Hi All,

Ok I'm loving the ISIS and the rabbit hole that I've jumped down into. However, I think I'm in danger of over thinking the solution so far

Is Clue #11 needed to get to the halfway stage or beyond that point?

Thanks!
