The Isis Adventure

Hello,

I got this for Christmas yesterday. I deciphered the 10 clues. Following them precisely for quite some time, I opened my Isis.

However, when I put it back, I messed up and didn't close it correctly.

There should be a WARNING about re-closing the Isis!

DON'T RECLOSE WITHOUT KNOWING HOW OR YOU'VE GOT A GREAT PAPERWEIGHT THAT'S NO LONGER AN OPENABLE PUZZLE!

Any direct questions about the opening or reclosing of the Isis must be submitted ONLY in the 5% club. Please delete this and put it there. =)

Well, I was able to go to my local Sharper Image store and talk the manager into swaping it for me. He was really nice and understood my plight. He definately got me out of a jam...

New Isis with components inside correct, open in 10 minutes.

This time, knowing the rules here, I TOOK PICTURES!

as far as I am aware there are specific intrustions to use this website. on this web site there are instructions on how to close the isis. there are also millions of topics about people opening the isis and closing it and having problems therefore I deduced when I opened mine that I shouldn't close it wiythout first knowing what I am doing.

For sure, now that I've digested it all after a few days, I do see warnings and know that it should be approached carefully once open. I guess at the time, I hadn't had a chance yet to get on this site or any others more than enough to read "follow the clues precisely".

Really, Sharper Image should have written a warning in their booklet about it.

At least you've managed to reset yours. I got mine on Christmas and solved it in 20 minutes, and now I can't reset it. I've PM'd Anash with photos to get into the 5% club, but it's just sitting in my outbox, it says it hasn't even sent yet.

Hi Fishmonger,

It just means that Anash27 hasn't had chance to pick up his PM's as yet, we are all busy with Christmas at this time of year, please be patient, I know Ade will get to it as soon a he can.

As Karen said, with the holidays things are going to be a bit slower for everyone as they try to spend some time with family and friends. That said, I've found the entire SW staff to be great. Anash got my message and added me to the club in under 24 hours of my request. I've had about 8 different contacts with the staff through email or message boards, and they are always back to me within roughly one business day. The customer service has been great just give them a chance as I'm sure they're getting slammed with requests since many Americans received an Isis for Christmas. Besides, it gives you some time to work on those confounded pyramid riddles!!!
