I always enjoyed art class at school, and when I was about 14, we were asked to draw a picture of a dragon. I decided to draw a few scenes of a cartoon - style dragon getting into mischief. My art teacher loved him and took me to the headmaster. They both tried to help me to get my dragon published
I was in the local newspaper because of it, and a few weeks later I was contacted by Post Office Counters ltd. They wanted to use my dragon for advertising. It didn't go any further, but it was great fun
My Mum is currently writing a greeting card making book, and she has included my dragon, so fingers crossed, Bernie (my dragon) and my Mum's book will be published soon
Not really a claim to fame, but I also have an autograph from Richard Carpenter, written to me personally
I've been a huge fan of the Carpenters since I was 13
