What do you think would be a fair discount for SW to provide upon purchase of a new Isis?

**~*- Stolen Isis!!! -*~**

I recently had my Isis stolen along with a friends bag at Uni when I let him borrow it!
Due to these unfortunate circumstances that I could not prevent, I now find myself having to purchase a new Isis to enable myself to continue the adventure.
I did however keep my key from my original Isis & still obtain this, so luckilly the theif cannot enter competition, that is if they have a brain that enables them to open the isis without throwing it off of the top of the block of high flats that they live in!

I contacted the police and they said that "it is highly unlikely that my puzzle would be found" & that "There isnt really anything that we can do".

What I ask is "What do you think would be a fair discount for SW to provide upon purchase of a new Isis?", so that I can continue the adventure without my wallet being hurt too much.

Please bare in mind that I have already opened my Isis.

Why buy another one, when you've already opened it, and have a key in your possesion? :?

Forgot to add that SW have now warned all pyramid holders that this Isis has been stolen from its original owner (me) and that they should keep the isis if it is presented by anyone.

What I didnt understand was that I still have the key from my original Isis, so why couldnt they just send me a duplicate isis at a small fee. Its not like the theif has my key so that Isis ball is useless. Its just that they dont know that yet.

It seems a rather drastic measure to take by SW but it is one that has been taken. I'm sure that it would be easily reversable. but then again SW wouldnt make as much money if I didnt have to buy another full Isis set (New Isis Sphere & Key).

Hi Scott

I would imagine the key itself is a very small fraction of the cost, and to be fair Im not sure sw are obliged to offer any discount... after all if you were to buy, lets say an ipod, then have it stolen.. you couldn't very well expect the retailer to offer a replacement at a reduced cost.

Dont get me wrong I do sympathise with you, its dreadful that its been stolen in the first place, but you have completed the puzzle and at least you still have the key

perhaps your friend could assist in the purchase of a new isis...
I fully appreciate that having your belongings stolen is extremely distressing and angering (is that a word?!). But I don't think SW should loose out... It might be their good will to offer you a little help/relief but certainly not obliged to.
Having said that, I guess Karma will bite me on the censored and dent my car or death-crash my pc!

Stolen Isis

Postby PUZZ » Mon Apr 23, 2007 8:43 pm

Folks,

I have already offered a 10% discount for a new isis with regard to the stolen isis, Unfortunately for obvious reasons once an isis is reported stolen by the owner, i must lock it out.

However In this case I will increase the discount by a further 10% as a good will gesture, on condition the original key is returned to SW.

But im not promising to do this again if someone else gets their isis stolen.

Call the office tomorrow and re-order a new isis with new key if my offer is acceptable.

Take more care of the next one!
