Most of us know Petrol <=> Gasoline.
But what's the US equivalent of diesel (heavy oil)? And do many people use diesel engines for every day use? More and more people in the UK are switching to diesel because of the rising costs of fuel.
In my old car, (a 2.4 V6 Petrol), to drive one mile would cost me on average 28 pence
In my new car, (2.2 turbo diesel), to drive one mile costs me on average about 12 pence.
Hell of a difference! And the only reason I switched is because of the cost of petrol. If we had petrol prices as in the US, I probably wouldn't have. Hence my question as to whether many US people have diesels.
