To be honest this just sounds like your panicking that you've just paid for the 500 club and realised that there's a possibility that you'll never see ISIS 3 unless more people pour in cash :?

i am not panicking at all...i am encouraging you all to support something you love.... :D

I'm just hearing about this whole membership fee thing. Personally, I'm not too fond of it. It feels like I got invited to this huge awesome party (the forums) and I had a choice to buy some expensive drinks if i wanted to (the puzzles) and now I'm getting kicked out of the party if I don't pay a fee to say in it. I mean, its one thing to start charging people who are new and are just joining the party (you snooze, you lose); its another thing to start charging people who have been loyal and loved the adventure since they joined. For me, its not the price, its the principle. You don't offer something for free, get a whole bunch of people hooked on it, then charge them for it. I understand it costs a lot to keep a company like SW up and running but I don't think this would be the right direction. If anything, I think it would cut out people from the adventure and deter people who are curious about it.

A good solution that I could see would be having an "exclusive" membership (with a monthly fee) that would give people access to different things such as priority ordering on future puzzles, customizable member profiles, allow people to trade puzzles and such; more of a social networking environment that would bring more members together and get everyone to know each other better.

Anyways, that's my opinion. I love this adventure and I hope to see it all the way to the end.

I am not that happy about it , again it the principle. I think that i joined that club that your on about it's called the 500 club so they have my money and they just want more on top of that, I think that we should have no fee as we are helping test the puzzles for them. What say you the other 500er's

Puzz has already said that if you are a member of the 500 club, you will NOT have to pay the subscription.

Can someone clarify exactly which parts of the web-site will require membership in future? I understand that the forum will only be accessible to paid up members but what else? Puzz? It seems odd to me that there is now a link to the free search details once you have logged in - surely it should remain on the public site ????
As to the membership fee issue - I'm fine with this, little suprised that it hadn't been done before now.

It is still on the public site, it's just that there is a link to it from within the restricted area.

The £2 should allow you into a "Super" club that gives you more than you are getting now eg discounts, news letter higher value for gold coins etc that way you feel you are actually getting something for your subscription.
