Here's our town, a small market town:

We are just up the road from Rutland Water, the largest reservoir in England (you can see the town in the back right of the picture):

I don't know a lot about astronomy, like all the different yearly events. I know which the pole star is and I know the name of and can point out several constellations, I know the difference between planets and stars that can be seen with the naked eye, I know the rough path that the ISS takes.
As for meteors, you can see meteors on a nightly basis, I walk my dogs every night at half past eleven, so long as there is no cloud cover, you are almost guaranteed to see some movement up there, at this time of year it is the aurora that I like to see, especially on the cold icy nights when the atmosphere is clearer. I have seen them dozens of times, never the same view twice and awesome every time.

We live in a village in North Devon, our place backs onto fields which run down to the river. Here's a pic from the back window:

My closest beach is 5 mins walk away, but this one is about 20mins drive, I like it coz its more secluded and has good rocks. :-)

This is Morecambe Bay in Lancashire. Kite Festivle was on. In the distance across the bay you can see the Lake District. Also a place called Ulverstone(I know you can't really see it in the photo but it is there) That is the birth place of Stan Laurrel yes he was English. :D :D :D I will try and get some more photos of the area.
