@Adamwest: WOH!!! thank god the tornado missed your house! I must admit i love tornadoes and would love to see one in real life - whole tornado chaser thing. Just shame really about the destruction and loss of life they can cause, hope it's not too bad, but if it's a F4, then... :(

BN: Will and I are definately over, and we're struggling to remain friends as we don't seem to have much in common anymore, but I need him to help me with finding a bike after i've done my test or at least look over any bikes before i buy them... but that just feels like i'm using him and for me that's not right, but i have no-one else to turn to! :(

GN: got my Isis back after having to send it back to SW for engraving and i've managed to open it again! this time the proper way as the lock was changed so the previous method used, wouldn't work again! (hope this isn't too much info outside of the 5% club?)

It's funny, I think the same way, but it's different why it's heading towards your house. I always thought that tornado's where cool. my wife had baseball size hail last week, for those of you who don't know off hand how big a baseball is (and that is me too, sorry baseball fans) it's about the size of a grown males fist. But, I have to agree that tornado are fascinating

When i was 6 years old a tornado came through the trailer park we where living in .Wooster,Ohio...Melrose trailer park.i was awoke as the bed bucked me onto the floor of the room i slept in at the very front end of the trailer. The pressure from the tornado had lifted the trailer 6 feet off the ground and dropped it again, just the front end ...i came awake on the floor to a very noisy world...the trailer was floating off the blocks in the front ...i jumped up on my bed to look out the window and at that moment i recorded one of my earliest memories ***
as i peered out the front windows of our mobile home i saw a f4 at least size tornado..the debris cloud was so large at first i thought it was foggy..but it was clear enough for me to see the tornado pick up one trailer and hurtle it across the paved park street ,T boning the opposite trailer (my one childhood playmate and his two siblings ,both parents all died) right after the trailers where flying around i ran out of there into the living room area to find my parents scared as well...the tornado slowly worked its way down the street skirting our trailer...i remember saying the dogs name...my dad looked out the window to see the dog chain was still attached to the screw in anchor to the ground, but the dog house was in fact doing large circles..about 4 feet off the ground...my mother yelled for my father not to go out there but the look on his face told the story ..our german sheperd only wore a choker chain....he was being hanged inside his dog house ...i remember watching my father run out and shoulder block the dog house to the ground and rescue my dog.damn near broke my dads shoulder...the tornado missed us that day but i have some weird urge to tornado chase, and love storms on a level beyond couriosity
all in all 3 families died that day and alot of homes where destroyed..My proximity to the actual event shone a light into my eyes ,the awesome power and seemingly uncontrollable ,unpredictability of our own mortality at 6 years old gave me a bit of post traumatic stress but it also paved the way for my adrenaline junky weekend habits

**the other early memory is of my mom attacking me with a wiffle ball bat ,and my dad beater her with it for attacking me age 5

I must admit, i wouldn't be able to sleep whilst in area that could have a tornado, and the weather was a little bad that day/evening. Just for the fear of not waking up in time to get to a basement, I think the only way i'd be happy is if i was sleeping basically next to the basement door, if not in the basement! Love tornadoes... just don't want to be killed by one!

GN: Found a house that i really wana live in for the next year or more... but also viewed some other places that very horrible! but yeah the place i like is in a nice quiet area, has a garage and large back garden, the bedroom i'd have is massive! the kitchen and living room are a decent size too, and the rent will only be £260 per month! :D which is very cheap compared to the other crappy places that were charging the same or more for something that was a lot smaller and didn't have a garage, let alone even a garden! And the landlord was very nice too, unlike the censored i've got for the flat!

GN: found out about some voluntary work in Northern Ireland, that's related to my degree... kind of wish i'll get it, but i know from some other voluntary work i applied for earlier this year with BGS, not to hold my breathe - i got on the 'backups' list, and heard about this voluntary work with Lonmin (3rd largest produces of platinium?!) through BGS. It'd be brilliant to get it - accommodation paid for, flights paid for, food is subsidised so don't need to pay much towards that, and you still get £250 a week!!! :D plus the whole it's relevant to my degree, can use them as referee in the future etc :D

BN: I'm very pissed off with people, and waiting on a friend to finish work and meet me in the pub for a much needed drink. Will was meant to be coming round this evening with the bike boots and jacket ready for my training that starts this saturday, but that was only after having to wait for him to make his mind up over whether i could borrow it or not... and made me and my parents stress out and start looking at buying my own gear.
But yeah after waiting in until about 8:45pm and ringing him god knows how many times to find out where the hell he was, finally got an answer - he'd gone to collect something for his motorbike, but didn't think to tell me so then i could go out and meet some people earlier! really starting to get very pissed off with him, he's meant to be a 'friend' :x
As well as i tried to ring another person a few times but they never answered their mobile. :x

GN/BN: got some calcium carbonate and vitamin D tablets from the doc earlier, as my vitamin D levels were low a month back, but i didn't realise it's not just spend a month out in the sun and your levels will be back to normal, she said it can take a year! But i also went to see her as i had a bruise on my leg and it's left a pink mark still and took a good 1-2 months to disappear, plus i keep finding loads of bruises that i have no idea what caused them and then they take a couple weeks to disappear. so she's doing more bloods and then refering me.
Plus i can't seem to get my weight below 10stone 5lb and body fat below 29% either, no matter how much exercise, stopped snacking as much as i use to, and have started eating a lot more fruit and veg! :x :?

ugh... i need a drink... not had one for a few weeks now as i cut out alcohol or at least the beer every night in attempt to ditch some more weight, but it's not worked! :? :( i know where that £20 i found in my room will be going tonight...

No-one else got any good or bad news they'd like to share??

GN/BN: panicking a little as Lonmin want to ring me next monday or tuesday to discuss my application... didn't really think i'd get this far, and think i could do with help from lecturers but they'll be busy with results coming out today and i have work at 4:30pm as Tesco rang last night to ask me to do overtime tonight and i accepted! i'm also embarrassed to show my lecturers my application as there's perhaps a few little white lies (like my enthusiasm) and that i may have got some of the information wrong or at least the terms of some of the data collection we did etc :x

GN: passed my first year of Physical Geography... also got a letter with it saying congratulations as my average for the year was above 70% (First class) :D

wd Kitkit, good grades!
Do you have a student Rep who could look over your application? Our student advisers are pretty good.

Thank you! Did the phone call yesterday... got an email today saying I'm successful!!! On the 13th July, I'll be going to Northern Ireland for the summer! been kind of dancing around and now wanting to go and see my lecturers to tell them! :D :D Although now wondering if there are any pyramids or free searches in N. Ireland!
Everything seems to have got so much better and easier, now have deadlines to sort stuff out by as well as giving me something to do, instead of me doing my usual "ah I'll do it tomorrow as i have nothing to do tomorrow, nor the day after that..." :D

BN: Had a phone call from Tesco saying they'd got my uniform in... and now I've got to sort out handing in my notice...

Thanks... guessing this has been forgotten or no-one wants to share any news?

ugh... My mind is everywhere at the moment... have just spent the day moving house, my chest now hurts to breathe and still got to unpack. I'm excited but nervous about going tomorrow as got to buy some new walking boots as my old ones were lost round Will's (still feel a little for him, but strangely don't :? think i'm just wanting someone to love me and be there right now), and am still yet to pack my suitcase! New house is nice but weird - guess it's cuz i've had the same housemate for the past 2 years and now i've got 3 guys to share with, which should be good as i always get on better with guys than girls but yeah 3 new people to try and get on with. I'm still feeling ill and tired after a good leaving do last night. Just feel down, and wish i had someone to cuddle up to, keep me warm and cheer me up.

VGN: I passed my motorbike test yesterday! so will now have a full license, and once saved enough money, will get a motorbike and get out and about!

Kitkit Here is a great joke/Icebreaker for you if you can handle it.
you take a carton/bottle of milk and add cottage cheese to the bottle/carton. when you have a large audience pour the milk with the cottage cheese mixed in over your cereal then eat it like it's normal!!! it's a great prank if you can pull it off. congrats on your new life!!!!!
