yeah, its not good to be on so many meds, but unfortunately she can't function without pain relief at the moment. :|

I think sometimes if you break something or injure yourself its easier to deal with than a chronic ongoing problem. She has had 4 operations in the last 5 years, none of which have had lasting results, so we aren't getting our hopes too high, but this time at least we know that the doctor is the best in his field.
