I dont think you could call that a draw if the lion died from indegestion or overeating haha

Possibly, the contest never actually took place. The lion could not attack the midgets, they hid in holes where he could not reach them. So the midgets had to attack the lion.

So the midgets make their way home empty-handed. They trail into the village in small dejected groups. The women have got the cooking fires ready, the little ones are waiting patiently and expectantly.

Doc ... I am eagerley awaiting the next chapter of your story.

Did the children go hungry? Did the wives beat the midgets with their empty pots? Did the fire die down? Did the lion make an appearance to take revenge on the midget's earlier attack? Finally, did the Major lose his status in the village?

Maybe the partridge could swoop down from the pear tree and distract the beast, whilst the midgets get to work. So long as those poor children do not go hungry again!!

With all this additional support from the maids, the ladies, the lords and the pipers, I am sure the midgets will be able to out wit all predators!!

Dr Iguana, to answer your earlier question as to whether or not the lion could type...I guess there isnt a SNL (Saturday Night Live) in the UK. Google "Toonces the driving cat" he was the cat who could drive a car..and in one epidose he typed a letter too!

Outlaw...Yes it is a arena type fight with no retreat allowed. Think cage match.

As for the rest of this, its certainly getting a lot more elaborate than I expected, thanks to the good Dr. I wonder if Puzz will use this in an upcoming riddle...if so I want royalties!

i still say the lion would be fat and lazy after eating 3 midgets..so a sacrifice would have to be made for the better good...maybe an american idol type competition would be in order to determine who is sacrificed
