Old guy gets a Tarka

Just received a Tarka from my kids for Xmas. I am intrigued but a complete noob. Is it possible to register the Tarka? Also, after searching the forum I did find a link to 6 clues. The clues are not alphanumeric but symbols making the use of an analyzer impossible. Any thoughts? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Help, I already can't sleep!
