Anyone else find the secret clue hidden in the original 6? It's not real helpful, but there for a reason I'm sure. Since I've not seen any posts about it I don't want to give it away. But reply if you found it or pm me if you want to discuss!

Yes indeed. I found it fairly quickly, but it apparently is not useful for this puzzle...

What's your method of decoding?

Well, I realized it was the pigpen code, so I translated taht into letter's, then solved each one as a cryptogram, ((used an online tool to do that, as I suck at cryptograms)) and got the plain text.

Ahh so you just randomly assigned a letter to a character and treated it as a simple substitution cipher? You won't find the 7th clue that way... :?

They both are simple substitution cipher's, at least for the main hints to solve the Tarka and Tess. If it's anything else...*sighs...* I guess I'll never find it.

That's cheating....and my mum always told me that cheats never prosper!! :D :D You have to solve it with a pen and paper

IT is not cheating to use the tools at your disposal to help you. I generally suck at cryptograms, expecially when they change from clue to clue. I don't have the patience. So I used the almighty interwebs. That isn't cheating. It's using another resource to help you. Cheating would be if I went and watched a video about how to open the Tess or Tarka....

I agree, it's perfectly okay to use the tools at your disposal, but by doing that you've not been able to partake of the full solving experience.

I suggest you look up how the Pig Pen cypher is constructed, then you might see the light

Does it have anything to do with some letters equal theirself? (not encrypted?) I'm having trouble sniffing out a clue from the set.

I wouldn't get too hung up on it, as the so called '7th Clue' was to do with my plans for Isis V and will not help with the Tessarisis or Tarka.

The symbols might occasionally look like letters of the alphabet, but don't get confused by that, the substitution cypher changes from clue to clue, so the symbols can be expected to change letters from clue to clue.
