Hey guys

I few days ago I noticed the lid on my Tessarisis now moves a few mm's clockwise

Is this a sign I'm getting somewhere it has it always moved and I haven't noticed before?

This puzzle has be very confused! Lol

The lid? Sure you don't mean Tarka? The only moving pieces on my Tessarisis are the wheels (although two of them - on opposite sides) have locked, and the Tessarisis badge, which is spring-loaded and apparently what opens when things unlock. I think I'm close given that the wheels are fully depressed and no longer rotating, but I don't have the clues handy to remember what else it said about opening it.

Mine did exactly this so I would say it's not necessarily a bad sign :D

Nope I mean the Tessarisis!

I managed to get them to depress also but they are not anymore!

Hope my Tess isn't broke!

I don't think yours is broken. I've managed to un-depress my wheels...just rotate it the other way. I feel like I'm getting close, but the "friend" clue is throwing me off a bit.

Next status update for the holy 5%'s!

The lid has now locked in place and won't move in the slight twisted position where the lid has turned a few mm's clockwise.

I also have one of the circles on the underside locked flush with the puzzle!

Am I still going in the right direction?

Glad you're having so much fun. However, just to rub it in a bit:

I took a Tessarisis to a wedding last week and handed it round at the party, various people fiddled with it and admired it.

Then a young lady said "Is this supposed to happen" as she handed me the open puzzle.

I could only respond "Holy Sh  t!"

She'd done it without any clues and in just a few minutes flat.

Then again she couldn't re-open it once I'd reset the puzzle, so I guess it was a fluke and the other people fiddling happened to line everything up for her - still pretty impressive though.

Cheers Steve :)

Just what I wanted to hear!

I must admit the Tessarisis has me more confused than the others in the series so far!

Although I feel I must be missing something as 4 peeps have already opened theirs!

"The lid has now locked in place and won't move in the slight twisted position where the lid has turned a few mm's clockwise."

Ohhhh, *now* I see what you're talking about :) I hadn't noticed that feature of the Tessarisis before, but was looking at the machining of the body and realized it's got more to it than I thought (i.e. it's not just about the wheels and the badge)
