which isis puzzle do i start with?

Postby gahhhhhh » Sun Mar 29, 2015 11:23 pm

Ok. So I have been thinking about joining the isis adventure for a long time and finally have the means to do so. However. I am not sure weather or not I need to start with the first isis puzzle or not. I really want to get the copernisis as it looks the most fun to complete in my opinion. So can I still participate in the adventure if I get the copernisis first? Or do i need to buy the isis 1 first?

There's no requirement to do the puzzles in any order. Each puzzle is accompied by its own adventure upon completion. Personally for me, the copernisis has been my least favorite as it focuses less on the solving of a mechanical puzzle and more on solving an equation and some math and figuring out how to apply the results of the equation to the physical puzzle. It's different than the others in that you have to rely on other things and not just merely solve the puzzle at hand.

So which would you suggest I complete first?. I got a little spoiled in the solution for the first one. So I don't know if it's worth spending 200 on it because I do have a bit of a head start in solving ( i know the general idea if how to do it). Please tell me which to start with and if it's worth doing the isis 1

Well, it's all a matter of opinion but my favorite is the tessarisis and tarka. I would recommend doing them all at some point though. If you're worried about paying full price for the ball, try picking one up on eBay for a discount!!

Well Im not really worried about paying full price for it, so much as it being spoiled for me. I know about the big bang clue and what it means, as well as a couple twists you have to make. So is it still worth buying in your opinion having completed it. I can't really buy the tesarisis though (that's the one I really want) because it is more than double the price of the regular isis. i will hopefully get it eventually. But as of now it's between isis Ramisis or copernisis. So what's your opinion?

Hmmm, I see your delimma. I'd probably suggest the ramisis then as copernisis is my least favorite. This way you get a tough puzzle without knowing anything about it. I would still recommend solving the Isis even though you know some of the clues/information but maybe don't start there if you're looking for a tough challenge on your first Isis puzzle.

Plus, as a bonus, there is an extra 1% challenge on the ramisis that will keep you challenged for a long long time.

Thank you very much For your help. is the Ramisis fun In your opinion. And can the key found in it be used to open the golden pyramids around the word or is that just from the isis 1? May I ask how much you purchased your tesarisis for? It is defiantly my favorite of them all. It looks really complex and fun. But it's 575-750 usd. Which is insane for a puzzle. did the price used to be lower?

Honestly I'm not sure about the key... I don't really do the physical pyramid hunts.

I got an insane deal on my Tess. Ingot the marbles edition that comes with a tarka inside. Ordered it unsolved on eBay for like $300... I have to say, I probably would still be waiting to get one if I was going to buy one brand new.

Wow dude I really wish I could get a deal like that. Do you think that with the knowledge I have I should get the isis? I'm really leaning towards that one. But i dont want it to be finished in like a day just because I knew how to do a couple twists

Hi, my personal opinion for what is worth is to do them in the order they came out in. It is not necessary to do them in order but I think this is the way the adventure should be tackled if you intend to do all of the puzzles. I really liked the Isis, maybe because it is the first in the series, the Ramisis is tougher, especially to complete the second stage and the Copernisis is different again. I think it really comes down to personal taste at the end of the day, but if you enjoy puzzle solving, these puzzles are some of the finest made in the world and whichever one you decide to start with, I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy.
