Do I correctly understand that people who do not own an Isis cannot see the free search anymore, and also cannot read about it on this forum anymore?
So the free search is now only intended for those who want more han 1 Isis?
E.g. for adventurers that already own a coin and want to join the pyramid hunt again.
But wait, a free search Isis cannot be used to claim a second prize, right?

I think it is only available to those that have paid their subscription fee.

I don't even think you can REGISTER for an account without an Isis number. Whether you pay or not, you have to have an Isis to have an account. I was talking to Dr. Iguana the other day and he can no longer visit the forum because of this.

So yes, I think the only people who can see this alreaday have Isises. Seems silly to me, especially as the T&C say that you can't use a Free Search Isis to claim a coin.

Yes I agree I'm totally confused by this. I've just read the current terms and conditions and under Isis Adventure monthly search
it still states:

4. You may enter the monthly search without making any purchase. Details of the search can be found on our website each month.

I had assumed therefore that you could register your account by paying £20 without an ISIS or RAMISIS. I see however that Hannah is
correct in that the registration page requires you to enter the external number of your puzzle. Is this just an oversight from the old
system as you can add puzzle numbers from the main entry screen when you log into your registered account.

Also according to rule 7.1:

7.1 If you find a free puzzle, and have already claimed an award for a gold or silver coin you are not eligable to claim for further gold or silver awards with the free puzzle.

Now I have a free Isis from the days when no registration fee was required and used the number on that Isis to register my account.
According to the rules I can claim a pyramid coin with that ISIS so long as I haven't made a claim on an existing ISIS. Under the new
system I would not be able to register my account in this way because I need the prize to enter the competition. (brilliant paradox though )

Can we get confirmation on this please ?

I understand from the above quote that a free Isis can still be used to claim a PLATINUM coin !-)

i just know that i didn't suscribe before the deadline, and i still had the ability to add an isis to my account, but the links on the side were turned off. they reappeared as soon as I suscribed......who knows

I sent Puzz a link to this thread and suggested that if people were allowed to register on the SW site for free, they would see the forum and learn more about the adventure. This will hopefully convince some of the new members to really join the adventure by either purchasing a puzzle or by subscribing to the site for the free searches

Hi Karen,

thats a great idea, I will ask martin to add the membership option to the registration section, so you can register with a puzzle or by paying the membership, access to the pyramid maps etc will still be restricted unless you own a puzzle.

You don't need a puzzle to register an account but the wording implies that you will be taken
to a PayPal screen upfront to pay your membership, which means that people still can't try
the forum for free. I assumed that you could register an account with all the main options
greyed apart from the forum, user details and membership payment.
