USA October Isis Search

Alright Ade and PUZZ, i think it's time for you guys to take another "vacation" to the US as we are now completely out of searches. (since March 1 of 2 was verified as gone missing). You can use adamwest's poll as a starting point of where to hide them. (I vote one in IL or AZ )

"maywood" is like 60 ..owns his own company and didnt really know what he was getting into,told me he thought he won the money when he found the coin...when i showed him the flyer from The Sharper Image for the Isis puzzle he was shocked at how much they where to buy...the coin on the other hand ,much harder to barter....He actually called the free isis search a "scavanger hunt"..He didnt realize the puzzle came with a booklet,untill i showed it to him....during our "interview" i made it quite clear i would not open it for him,or give him any info on how to...i told him i had no idea about the encrypted codes...i explained to him very professionaly about the pyramids and the riddles at which point he looked at me blankly and stated "your kidding ,right?"...thats when the blank check came out.... the end of an obsession...i did not post 2 additional trips to the museum...there where 3 isis hidden in chicago,but i only worked on this one....its a trophy,a benchmark in my personal adventure...rarely does the actuall treasure hunter keep a found artifact..there is always a private collector willing to buy....on this day i wasnt the finder...but i am the collector...before writing the check,i contacted a SW rep. to make sure this was firstly legal,and secondly that SW wouldnt be angry...they said if he will sell,i could enjoy the covetted treasure without any ill will from SW...
i am now proudly displaying the october 07 usa free isis search coin and puzzle...found by "maywood"...i will not be registering this ball...its my 3rd Isis 1,..
the coin is in bad shape from weathering but i dont care....
if you guys dont verbally abuse me too badly i may post a picture.

its not how i wanted to get it,but at the end of the day..i have it

p.s. i emailed him 1/2 a million times before he agreed to meet me..we had coffee at the museum,then he took me back to his office when he realized i wasnt gonna mug him or something it took like 4 month

(edit)this isis will never be registered..i didnt find it so i will never register it..just a trophy,conversation piece...even though SW said i could register it i won't...

i vote for one in Minneapolis!!! its a big city and has many places you could hide the free coin... and you know at least one person would be looking for it...

I also voted for one in MN...given the one Clue in march and the other clue in November...it very well could be!

Are there any open searches pending in the US that haven't been solved/found yet? (other than the November 2008 free search - decryption puzzle)

The June 2008 - 2 search hasn't been found, but is closed due to remodeling of the Empire State Building 102 observatory floor. It is a gold coin, so when it opens for public it will be mad rush.

isis1 is under 200 dollars now...you will commute from Cali. to NY for that?..wow!

My fear is that it (the gold coin) won't be there after the remodeling is done. God only knows how much they're going. Could be paint and makeover, or could be a whole new setup - drywall and all - in which case, some contractor is gonna find it and not know what the hell he just found. One can only hope that it'll still be there when the construction ends...

Just to add my two cents, back in October I sent a friend in New York to search the 102st floor. He stayed for a few hours and ended up finding a shiny new quarter crammed in a little nook. I always thought that meant a tourist got THE coin and replaced the coin with a quarter. If I describe the spot specifically enough, could we confirm that the coin was already missing? This could be a big coinicidence, but I thought I'd mention it for anyone planning on buying a plane ticket. As for me, I'm done with New York, working on Texas.
