Since this one generated quite a bit of interest, I reckon Puzz or Ade will provide the solution eventually, if nobody else does.

hello all,
I am the one who found the october 07 free isis search coin.
I am new to this whole thing .I am very interested to get this puzzle.
I saw the puzzle in a case at the sharper image and went home to look them up on the internet.This led me to the free search.
Here is what i assume must be the correct answer to the riddle.
Find the N:TAS=The Navy:Technology At Sea exhibit at the museum of science & Industry in downtown chicago.
The photo clue led me to the periscope in the exhibit.
Play a game of eyespy with arrows=I thought of a cartoon i once saw that had the main character with lines coming from his eyes to the object he was looking at.So this means line of sight.(espy also means to view from afar).
locate a rainbow looking object=The arches of the little building across the street where the only rainbow looking object i could see.
I searched for a zigzag for quite a while,actually i was just ready to return to my car,when while looking down at the floor map of the museum did i spot a large crack in the floor.I said "nah!",i followed the large crack to where it met the vertical wall face ,and there i could see a coin edge in the crack,at the wall.
I have no idea how to open the puzzle ,but this part was very fun.
I had no idea this had such a large following.

P.S. Will the puzzle be the standard blue and gold or do they give out special puzzles for the free search?

So that whole being feet from the coin was more like millimeters. I can't believe I never saw it in the wall. I knew the zigzag was a crack because of ade's hint about it was near the zigzag crack and I checked every crack I found in that building but I guess I didn't look hard enough in the walls and assumed it was in one of the floor cracks at the end. For those of you who never visited that building there are many, many cracks all over the floor to follow. In case you don't know anything about pouring concrete, if you make a slab too large without reinforcement it will crack which is why you generally put seams in it to force the crack to occur there when it does. (hey if its going to crack you might as well put it where you want it). So because all the slabs in that building were oversized all the slabs cracked in their usual pattern of a giant plus sign spanning to the walls or nearest seam therefore creating a lot of cracks to search in there. (If you include the cracks in the center area and in the immediate surrounding area then this number was easily over 100). Congrats to Maywood for having better eyes than I in finding this.
