Hi Neil

I'm pretty sure my moderating is tight - and not sure where you are reading the clues that help people cheat - can you PM me any you feel I have missed

Many thanks

DH
Hi DH

Sorry.. think that has come across wrong, your moderating is ace, my point should have been that everyone should agree not to post anything that might give it away. I guess some of the clues are only really clues if you have already worked some of it out.. Sorry again :)

Regards

Neil
No worries Neil - and no need to apologise - just wanting to learn what or if I can improve on anything - thanks for the compliment by the way :D.

Moderating is never a role you get many compliments doing - lol - trust me I've done many - but you can always improve hence my question

One of the things I think would be worth doing is having an agreement that new users have to sign up to when they register - covering the conveying of information and clues.

Also as someone yet to complete their Isis  - I am in a fairly unique postition  of not knowing how helpful some of the information posted actually is - that way its fairer on the users and less Big Brotherish in general - well thats my excuse for not having yet done it!!

I think your spot on with suggesting having an agreement that all would have to sign up to.

How long have you been working on your isis? have you decripted the clues yet?

I think the forum is a "Catch-22".

You can't talk on the forum about what you are stuggling with or what you have done, because you might be on the right track and give clues. If you ask a question, no one can answer because that is giving away the answer. And you can't keep the conversations up if all the people who have opened there ISIS can talk about is how much dust has collected on top of their ISIS while they wait for the next one.

In saying these things, I am not saying that the forum is good or bad or anything. I am just making some observations. This is a tuff position for a forum to be in. There are the haves and the have nots and they really can't freely speak to each other, so therefore, you will see a gradual slow down.

Just my 2 cents.

I say "Live on Forum!" as I love to come here.

Well... there ... I speak and things get fixed!

Good move on the 5% club. Now you can talk behind closed doors about the beauty of the inside of the ISIS and the rest of us can bang our ISIS against our heads until one of them breaks open.

That works!!!!!!!!!

surely if it is in breach of copyright, then those forums refusing to remove the posts containing them could be attacked in the courts...surely if the RIAA and the english equivlents can take people to court and win substantial damages....

.... then they have too much money in the first place. The media help people forget that the average small company and 'man on the street' does not have the financial backing like that of the behemoth world of the corporate music and film barons.

Other problem is the forum you most likely refer to is based in America causing even greater legal expense.
