USA October Isis Search

Looking through the periscopes was my thought too, but due to the amazing Chicago weather, the shorter one was completely fogged up so I couldn't see anything and the taller one was fogged up about 2/3 of the way. From what I could see through that one I could tell the view was of the outside as I saw buildings. The periscope points straight out for the most part, so you can only really see things that are at least 1000 feet from the museum. That and most of the view you have is of the museum walls and roof and the lake. Maybe when it warms up a lot and its not fogged up I'll head back over. Also, I'll have to wait for all this snow we are supposed to get tonight to melt.

i am not from Chicago but i was curious and researching this riddle... and i was looking for lift bridges..
do you by any chance have a lift bridge that might be in sight while looking through the periscope? because those usually have zig zag trusses for support.
just an idea for you

its a token for a free isis and its taped under the top step of the stair well to the left of the n:tas exhibit..zigzag with arrows is the sign for the stair well.....oh crap im thinking out loud again=]...
how are you guys so sure its in chicago?
just curious ,maybe we could have an isis party here and all goto the museum together lmao

I know exactly where it is! When I looked through the periscope I remember seeing a sharper image store. After my trek to the store I inquired as to the whereabouts of the free ISIS to which the clerk took me to a glass display with the ISIS inside. He said he'd open the case for me for only $230. How awesome is that!

Well I was hoping to go search some more this Friday, but it's looking like thats a no go, so it'll have to be Saturday now. At least the weather looks to be promising that day according to the forecast right now. Lets hope that holds up. Otherwise, find it or not I'll post any new revelations I found during my search soon after. Hopefully no one beats me to the punch before Saturday in finding this, or if they do, be sure to tell me before Saturday to save myself a trip. Thanks.

I wouldn't feel right using your research to find this isis..you deserve it ,if it is indeed in chicago...estimate what the periscopes could see then go outside...i think its probably in the museum tho..how will security like that? maybe you will spot it and have to get security to get it ...how exciting please let us know how it went

Hahah.. I was waiting to see how long till someone posted... I have made three trips to the Science of INdustry - so I'll give you this:

I have searched all over oustide... I have searched all over the UBOAT.. I even got a security guard named Johnny to help me... he gave me a private tour of the UBOAT and we searched everywhere on that thing.

There is a periscope on DISPLAY to the right side of the UBOAT... you can actually look through IT.. when you do, you can see the Torpedo's display case, which is a circle, except you can only see HALF The circle when looking through it and lining up the arrows (Rainbow Like) .. Then I followed the stairs behind that (Zig Zag), nothing there... then I followed the railing that zig zags around the UBOAT, nothing there.. I as well have pictures.

So... My thoughts are - it must be in the NTAS when you look out the periscope. I have had two people on cell phones trying to line up rainbow like objects. My first thought was the Flag... for unknown reasons.. .then I tried lining up everything. I walked all around the museum, even the side that is closed off, and checked every possible zig zag I could think of... Nothing.

So best of luck to you. If you would like to meet up sometime and try and put what we have found together, I would be willing to do that. I'm actually going to be in Chicago again for a bachelor party Sat night (I live 2 hours away), so Sunday I could stop and help look...

I already bought my isis on my last (third) trip to the museum.. so hopefully any insight I have given helps.

I'm sure it has to be something outside the museum.. .because everywhere in the Naval part has been searched.

OH - one more thing... the third periscope in the NTAS (the one showing the next room) , if you look threw it the lights above appear to be a prism... and on the other side of the wall there is an electrical box with a logo showing the ELECTRIC WARNING Sign (zig zag).. dont bother with this either... and the electrical tape covering up the box it leads to... opening that will just possibly electricute you.. but definitely get security asking questions about what in the hell you are doing

somewhere on this forum there is a discussion about the coin hidden on Alcatraz and where it was hidden... puzz didn't mess around ( he shoved in the drain of the sink in a cell ) so i wouldn't put it past him if it was in the electrical box =/

Uh, was this one found or something? The riddle doesn't show up under the free searches. (I see everything was moved off the TSI free search page and there is now a universal free search page). There is a new US free ISIS for March that was just posted but the October one wasn't put up and the main page says that only 6 free ISIS remain. Was it just not moved, or does this one not count anymore?

HolyCrap!..they are gone...i guess thats that...hope it makes my tsi ball worth more...glad i got one when i did...it sure is purdy lol
