Re: Isis, China, and TSI Box?

Postby Santeh » Sun Dec 30, 2007 4:07 pm

Hello all,

I had three general questions regarding the Isis puzzle. I live in the U.S. but was thinking of getting one of the Isis puzzles from U.K. as I like the gold/blue color combination (TSI only has the silver/black and the violet/gold). As a note, if I do elect to buy one from TSI it would be the violet/gold model.

However, I have read that the Isis puzzles purchased from TSI were made in China instead of the U.K.. Is this correct? If so, is there any difference between U.K. and China models?

Also, I have heard that the the Isis puzzles bought at TSI do not come in a lovely wooden box. Is this also correct?

Finally, as I am from the U.S. is there any reason not to buy one from the U.K. if I wish to take part in the U.S. treasure hunt starting in 2008?

Thank you all for the help!

All ISIS are hand made in the UK, including all TSI ISIS :)

I know the TSI ISIS do come in a box, I think it's black, but I'm not sure what it is made of. However, I'm sure it will be up to normal SW standards, which is excellent quality :) Could someone who has a TSI ISIS confirm this please :)

I don't think it will matter which ISIS you buy as far as the adventure goes. I think it's more down to your location. But I'll try to find out to make sure.

Hi Santeh,

Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to log into the TSI site with a normal UK ISIS.

If you would still like a UK ISIS, you could PM Puzz. Puzz will be able to tell you if it's possible for you to get one that will allow you access to the TSI adventure.

Hello Karen,

Thank you for the continued help. I appreciate it.

Actually, I was a bit worried about this and have been leaning towards the TSI Isis puzzle for this reason, whether or not it was made in China and does not have the wood box. I must admit, that while I like the blue/gold version, the violet/gold is very nice as well. :D

Thanks again!

Hi,

Sorry, I have just spoken to Puzz, he doesn't think TSI would be too keen on the idea if SW let UK bought ISIS take part in the TSI prize system, which makes sense when I think about it!

Hello!

No problem as I certainly do not mean to cause any trouble. I simply liked the blue/gold color combination which appears to be only available directly from Sonic Warp in the U.K.. My apologies for any trouble.

Respectfully...

Hi Santeh,

No problem at all, and it was definitely worth asking :)

Best wishes,
Karen

To be honest I'm not sure.... I've needed a social life for such a long time now lol

I think it is at about 250 posts from looking at other members status :)

Taking a break from the hard puzzles, this is easily answered:
0 Newbie
5 Lowbie
50 Poster
100 Bored a lot
200 Mega poster
250 Needs a social life (up to 999?)

On most forums, administrators manually 'downgrade' your tag if you apear to be posting just to boost the tag.
Now you count for two.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Do people actually do that
Perhaps that's why they have the tag 'Need a social life'

I must say that the "level" names are most interesting... Yet, if catching the fact the that the term "Lowbie" by my name was the "level" I was at is apart of an easy puzzle then I must change my initial response of it taking me 25 months to solve the Isis to my whole life!
