Small part of my adventure

Postby EMEuckerJr » Thu Nov 15, 2007 4:31 pm

I had to call SonicWarp in the UK. I had never called international before. I first had to figure out how to dial the UK. It took several tries  I finally got it, and now I know how phone numbers in the UK are set up, and what a country code is. Even the ring was different.

I never knew what the "1" in U.S. phone numbers really was. In fact, on my cell phone I don't even use it, the area code and number work just fine (eg. 555-123-1234).

I have spoken to people with British accents before, but none like the woman I spoke with on the phone. It was different, kind of neat. I wish I could have talked more with her, but I was at work.

Maybe I sound like an idiot, but I got a kick out of it.

I was instructed to call after I solved riddle #5. :D

We do a lot of international business...my employer won't care about a minute call.
