Rings hard to move

I just got my Isis for Christmas and I was wondering if it is normal for the top and bottom gold rings to be very difficult to turn. The center ring on mine turns so easily that it is hard to keep in at one spot while trying to move the other rings.
No hints please, just want to know if this is how it is supposed to act.
Thanks

Yep, mine was the same. Didn't seem to cause any problems with opening it; it just added to the soreness of my thumbs

same problem here, don't worry about it. your thumbs will hate you but you will still be able to open the Isis.

Folks,
the Isis puzzle is a mechanical puzzle and as such needs a small amount of lubrication now and again, I suggest a small amount of 3in1 oil on the rings will help enormously. DO NOT use penertration oil though like WD40 that would be very bad for the puzzle.

3in1 is that like CLP? That stuff is amazing and does wonders for keeping my gun in working order I can only assume that it would do the same for the ISIS.

Gun oil and valve oil are both fine smooth lubes ideal for tight metal components.

I know for me, it's probably a good idea to keep my gun safe locked up while working on the Isis or one of Puzz's damn riddles!! I wouldn't want anyone, or anything (heavy metal balls that invoke rage) to become a statistic.
