More guesses

Postby EMEuckerJr » Fri Nov 02, 2007 8:23 pm

Only being able to enter 1 password every 24 hours is driving me crazy. I understand it eliminates brute force attempts.

A system where it still locks you out for 24 hours, but allows you to pay for additional password attempts would be nice.

You would still get 1 free guess every 24 hours. If you wanted to guess more than that, you pay a few dollars for each guess. You could even limit the number of paid guesses per day.

C'mon Puzz, what do you say?

So the people that have more money can guess like an extra x amount of times a day? No way! I paid enough for it and it wouldnt be fair for those of us who can't afford to pay for extra guesses... no need to make it more about money then it already is.

I would have to suggest changing to from once every 24 hours to once a day.. I can never remember what time I tried a guess the pervious day and i have gotten locked out on more then one occassion for 48 hours because I was like 45 minutes too early :?

locked out? I guess too early all the time, I just have to wait until the 24 hours is up and retry my guess.

Agreed, should be about mind power not financial power. Although these riddles are proving me to be a dunce.

Life's not fair.

It's like the lottery, those willing to pay for more tickets have a better chance of winning. Just like there's nothing stopping people from buying another ISIS for another chance. Buy hey, maybe it was a bad idea. From the looks of the poll so far I'd have to say people don't agree with me. That's fine, I have my bad ideas now and then.

If anything, it would be nice to have some indicator of when your 24 hour lockout was up!

I second that. I hate having to submit my password every minute close to the time I remember I guessed it the day before.

It not that I hate your idea it's just it seems that the Isis Adventure is arleady too much about money as it is. $10 for each decryption file from TSI? As it is the Isis II is going to cost more then the Isis 1.

That's true. I can't imagine anyone paying $100 for all 10 encryption files. I imagine by the time we get to ISIS V we'll have spent close to $1000 on ISIS puzzles.

Yeah, this is definitely not a cheap adventure. It's great they put out those free ones though, that's pretty cool.
